8bbdc947c4 [svn-r28972] Removed option to clear file buffers from autotools, CMake, and library.
Buffers that will be written to disk will now always be cleared since
not doing this has huge security implications.

Tested on: 64-bit Ubuntu 15.10 (Linux 4.2.0, x86_64) gcc 5.2.1
           serial autotools
           parallel autotools (MPICH 3.1.4)
           serial CMake

1023374492 [svn-r27768] Description:
Complete revamp of package initialization/shutdown mechanism in the library.
Each package now has a single init/term routine.

    This new way should avoid packages being re-initialized during library
shutdown and is also be _much_ more proactive about giving feedback for
resource leaks internal to the library.

    Introduces a new "module" header file for packages in the library
(e.g src/H5Fmodule.h) which sets up some necessary package configuration macros
for the FUNC_ENTER/LEAVE macros.  (The VFL drivers have their own slightly
modified version of this header, src/H5FDdrvr_module.h)

    Also cleaned up a bunch of resources leaks all across the library and tests,
along with addressing many warnings, as I encountered them.

12ee3deb82 [svn-r25321] Reworked and enhanced extreme sanity check in H5C.c, fixing an
uninitialized variable bug in passing.

Added the H5C_get_entry_ptr_from_addr() and H5C_verify_entry_type()
in H5C.c, along with their pass through functions in H5AC.c.  Note
that H5C_get_entry_ptr_from_addr() is quite slimey, and should be
avoided if possible.

Updated fractal heap to use flush ordering to force children
in the hdr / iblock / dblock tree to be flushed prior to parents.
This is part of a port of the fractal heap to the V3 cache, although
I gather that it will also be useful for SWMR.

Added sanity checking code to the fractal heap to verify that direct 
blocks are flushed before their parent indirect blocks, child indirect
block are flushed prior to their parent indirect blocks, and that the
root iblock or dblock is flushed prior to the header

Tested on:

        Jam: Serial and parallel
        Phoenix (Debian): serial, debug and production
        amazon (MacOS): serial

863ff882b6 [svn-r24709] rename H5V to H5VM since H5V is needed in the fastforward project for
view objects.  The addition of view objects in the fastforward project
is expected to be brough into the trunk sometimes in the future, which
is why we need to make this change.

Tested Manually on Jam and Ostrich.
Tested with h5commitest - Koala with intel compilers failed, but nothing had to do with those changes.

Fix coverity item 269 + others.  When a error occurred in a function using the
h5tools error framework, the "past_catch" variable would not be set to true
because that statement was before the label that goto jumped to.  This could
cause a failure in the cleanup section to go back to the start of the section,
freeing variables twice, etc.

Moved the label infront of past_catch=TRUE.

Disable use of temporary file space allocation when using a parallel VFD,
until we've made changes to broadcast the new address of the metadata when it
is relocated down into 'normal' file space.

Switch fractal heap direct blocks to use temporary file space, until they
are flushed, which makes allocation of space in file more efficient,
particularly for heaps with I/O filters.

Add 'notify' callback to metadata cache clients, so that they can be
aware when the cache has taken/will take certain actions.  Notifications are
urrently limited to when an entry has successfully entered the cache (via an
insertion or a load from the file) and when an entry is about to be evicted
from the cache.

bdcbada3f2 [svn-r13814] Description:
Change back to clearing memory buffers by default, but give users option
to disable this, for performance reasons (--disable-clear-file-buffers).

    Also, add configure option (--enable-using-memchecker) to conveniently
control making the library "play nice" with memory checking tools like valgrind
and purify.

    Also, fix bug when the first direct block moves between having a parent
and not having one (and vice versa), which occurs when the heap moves between

Fix the last scattered bunch of problems with the object deletion code,
which appears to be completely working now (for objects that are stored
within heap blocks - standalone objects aren't implemented yet).

    Also, re-work the regression test to speed up some of the existing tests
and add in 100-200 more combinations of tests - overall, its probably even
slower than it was... :-/
