058d7a1b3c Apparently, + has no special meaning, and neither does \+, in so-called 
"obsolete" / POSIX "basic" regular expressions.  Also, not every version of
`sed` out there supports the `-E` option.  So delete the -E flag and use
the regex `[^/][^/]*` instead of `[^/]+`.

Add config/netbsd to the MANIFEST.

408146236d Make these scripts relocatable again: derive a relative path for the 
original installation prefix from the examples prefix.  Use that
relative path to locate the current installation prefix, always.  Fall
back to an absolute installation prefix if the relative path cannot be
derived.

c8f533cfc3 Merge all of my changes from merge-back-to-feature-vfd_swmr-attempt-1, 
including the merge of `hdffv/hdf5/develop`, back to the branch that Vailin and
I share.

Now I need to put this branch on a fork with a less confusing name than
vchoi_fork!

d20fd310e4 Change prefix in example scripts to relative path to bin. This was done 
for 1.8, and works wherever installed without the need to replace the
original prefix.

ec31438afd Fixed HDFFV-10404 
Description:
    Applied the typo fixes from user's report.
    The previous pull request couldn't be merged because it was too old,
    and it was too complicated for me to resolve conflicts.

056ffa6341 [svn-r26963] HDFFV-9298: make uninstall generated "test: argument expected" lines 
The error is that $EXAMPLETOPDIR is used without setting a value first.
Solution is to set them with the proper values.

Tested: jam only to confirm the error no longer exists.

3032f3adf3 [svn-r26711] Recommitting revisions 26669 and 26670, removing VPATH and redundant /usr/include and lib in fcompile and link flags checks, now that I have run reconfigure. 
Also changed paths to h5cc, etc. in scripts to run installed examples from relative paths to absolute paths.

Tested with h5committest.

7462a7ef1c [svn-r26329] Merge of r26069, r26070, and r26072 from the features/autotools_rework 
branch.

Removed the configure option that allows selective disabling of individual
internal filters (fletcher32, shuffle, etc.).

This feature mucked up the code with a lot of #ifdefs, saved very little space,
and was not scalable to a general scheme for library size reduction. We've
decided to remove the feature while we investigate a more general scheme for
decreasing the library size.
